M.E.Taylor Engineering's SEMicro Division has announced the availability of the SEM Digi-CAM for scanning electron microscopes.
Polaroid film is no longer needed for older analog SEMs with the advent of the SEM Digi-CAM. For a very low cost a 6.1 megapixel SLR digital camera can be attached in place of the Polaroid film back. The SDC kit includes the interface hardware, camera, remote, and wireless transmission of photos to your PC or Mac. Since the photo takes advantage of your high resolution record CRT, final images can be magnified 10-15X making image capture better than some frame grabbers. Even if you have a frame grabber already installed an SDC may still offer some advantages.
