Dr Julian HeathJulian Heath is the Editor of Microscopy and Analysis. He has a PhD in cell biology and has worked in the UK and US using light and electron microscopy techniques. Julian is the author of the Dictionary of Microscopy. Andrea BrothersAndrea Brothers concentrates on pharma industry materials with Biovail. She also has a TEM consultancy for the Smithsonian Museum.
Jing Fu Jing Fu obtained his PhD in engineering from the Pennsylvania State University in 2008. He is a postdoc fellow in the NIH. Nancy D. Lamontagne is a science editor. She authors the Microscopy News Blog and was previously editor of several industry magazines.

Scott draws on 38 years of working experience with companies such as UpJohn and Pfizer, following both QA and R & D disciplines.

You are likely familiar with the solid dosage form of pharmaceuticals, but you might know it better as a tablet. When developing tablets pharmaceutical companies analyze them carefully for performance. In fact, they study each polymorph of the active ingredient because each form may behave differently.
