Hitachi-Gatan Cathodoluminescence-EBIC Workshop, Pleasanton, CA, 27-28 May 2009

This workshop will cover the SEM imaging and application of two important techniques for characterization of photovoltaic materials: cathodoluminescence and EBIC techniques using the Hitachi SU6600 Schottky Field Emission VP SEM and the GatanMonoCL3+ and SmartEBIC systems.

Presentations on both CL/EBIC and VP-FESEM capabilities will provide a worthwhile and educational experience for all participants. Although pre-prepared specimens will be used for the live demonstrations, attendees may arrange to submit suitable specimens for further work. Appropriate specimen preparation and analytical techniques for both CL and EBIC analysis will be discussed in the lecture sessions.
