New for the Society for Neuroscience, Mad City Labs Inc. launched the Nano-LPQ high speed nanopositioner. Designed for high speed applications, it has millisecond response times in X,Y, and Z. Microscopists may find its wide field of view, slim profile, large aperture, and integrated sample holder useful.  It features 75 X 75 X 50 micron travel range and picometer position noise under closed loop control. The company also has a new Nano-F series for moving objective lenses. The piezo-focusing elements can be used for confocal imaging and offer up to 450 microns of travel. They come in standard, wide diameter, and long range body types.
