Lumenera introduced the Infinity1-2 color camera at Neuroscience. The 2.0 megapixel camera can be used on upright, inverted, and stereo microscopes and has an adjustable C-mount. It uses USB 2.0, has a ½ inch CMOS chip and offers up to 96 frames per second, on-board processing, 8 & 10-bit pixel data modes, auto exposure, and auto white balancing. The camera captures RGB data for each pixel that contains 30-bits of color image information resulting in 1024 intensity values. Its full color sub-windowing is useful for rapid focusing and scanning of samples (20 fps at full 1600 X 1200 resolution and 96 fps at 640 x 480 resolution). Included with the camera is the company’s Infinity Analyze software for camera control and image processing as well as the Infinity Capture user interface. The camera can be used for clinical, life science, and material science applications that use high to moderate illumination.
