2010 Class of MSA Fellows Announced, Nominations Now Open for 2011

Eleven distinguished colleagues from around the world have just been designated as MSA Fellows and were presented with their Fellowship certificates at the M&M meeting. They include Ralph Albrecht, Lawrence F. Allard, Kenneth H. Downing, Joseph I. Goldstein, Michael Isaacson, Michael K. Miller, George Pappas, Stephen  J. Pennycook, John P. Petrali, Zhong L. Wang and David B. Williams.

Nominations are now open until September 30th for the next group of Fellows. Nominations may be submitted at http://microscopy.org/awards/fellows.cfm. The designation of "MSA Fellow" is intended to recognize senior distinguished members of the Society who have made significant contributions to the advancement of the science and practice of microscopy imaging, analysis and diffraction techniques. Such notable contributions could include, for example, technique development or applications, extensive service to the microscopy profession (e.g. education, outreach) or distinguished service to the Society.
