Speaker: Dr Mark Browne, Director of Systems Division, Andor Technology, Belfast.
Moderator: Dr Julian Heath, Editor of Microscopy and Analysis.
Format: The presentation can be viewed on your computer and will be around 45 minutes, plus 15 minutes for questions and answers.
Synopsis: This 60-minute interactive webinar discussed how to achieve optimal live cell imaging by focusing on the principles of operation behind the new white light and differential spinning disk techniques.
The effectiveness of these techniques was illustrated by images of live cells and histological specimens, acquired by Andor’s new confocal microscopy system, the Revolution® DSD.
The Andor Revolution® DSD is an innovative, cost effective, high performance, white light confocal spinning disk system based on ‘aperture correlation’. Unlike other white light confocal instruments, the DSD (Differential Spinning Disk) achieves a high degree of optical sectioning by active background rejection.
This Webinar discussed:
- Imaging of live cell and histological specimens with the white light confocalspinning disk technology.
- Application examples from life sciences.
- Data visualisation and analysis of 3D and 4D data.
Who should watch:
- Those interested in acquiring a highly cost effective microscopy system.
- Those involved or working in confocal microscopy labs, especially users of confocal microscopes and systems.
- Anyone interested in the latest live cell imaging techniques.
- Life sciences lecturers and students.
